Question:  Which condition will let me accrue more merit; having someone persuade me to make merit, or making merit without being persuaded?  And will the persuader get merit from me?

The teaching monk:   When someone persuades you to make merit, he/she will get the merit of persuading people to do good deeds fully. Regarding the doer, the merit you will get depends on your mind.  Whether you were persuaded or not, if you do it happily, you will get a lot of merit.  If someone persuades you to make merit and then you do it happily, you will get much merit; sometimes you will get more merit than if it was your own decision.  However, if you decide to do it by yourself and you do it very happily, you will also gain a lot of merit.  So the amount of merit you get does not depend on the persuasion, but rather it depends on how happily you make merit.
