The Ceremony of Alms Offering to 323 Temples for the 97th Time within 9 Year (Yala province)
Yala people arranged the morning alms round and the ceremony of alms offering to the monks from 323 temples for dedicating merit to the dead from unrest event in the southern region of Thailand.
Mr. Sayan Intharaphak, vice governor of Yala province, was the laity president, Mr. Prasitsak Limkanchana, the organizing president, other associations and organizations cooperated with Dhammakaya Temple and Dhammakaya Foundation to arrange the morning alms round and the ceremony of offering alms to the monks from 323 temples in four Southern provinces. These ceremonies have been arranged throughout the country and this is the 97th within 9 years. There were a lot of soldiers, police, merchants, and residents in the Yala municipality join this morning alms round for dedicating merit to the dead from the unrest events. There were 109 monks receiving alms.
Dhammakaya temple and Dhammakaya Foundation would deliver rice, dried food, and consumer goods from the Morning Alms Round to 1,000,000 Monks Nationwide Project initiated by the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni (Dhammajayo Bhikkhu), abbot of Dhammakaya Temple, to offer to the monks, novices, soldiers, teachers, students and residents in 4 provinces alternately which are Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat provinces. This was to encourage them to do their duties.
