Summon Buddhists’ power to save the ancient Buddhist place “Mes Aynak”

The latest news is Mes Aynak, the ancient Buddhist place in Afghanistan, is in the crisis because it will become a copper mine in the coming December.  This means that the 2,600-year-old valuable legacies will be destroyed because of the commercial benefits which will hurt all Buddhists’ heart.

So, Nadia Tarzi has asked all of the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni’s disciples around the world to sign your names to object it by:

1.    Collect at least 50,000 signatures to propose to UNESCO to protect “Mes Aynak”, the ancient Buddhist place.  Now we get only 500 signatures and need 49,500.  You can study how to join and sign your name at http://chn.ge/TstjEm

Mess Aynak

If we are able to do it successfully, we will get a big merit from protecting Buddhism in the ex-Buddhist country – Afghanistan – and preventing the tragedy like the destroying giant Buddha Images in Bamiyan.
