Vesak Day … The International Day
 


Dhammakaya Temple postpones the First Sunday Ceremony of Offering Alms to the Lord Buddha from Sunday June 3rd, 2012 to Monday June 4th, 2012 which is on the 15th Waxing Moon Day of the 7th Lunar Month or Vesak Day.

The Morning Ceremony
6:40 a.m.    The Morning Alms Round at the 5th Entrance of the International Dhammakaya Meditation Hall

The Late Morning Ceremonies        The Ceremony of Offering Alms to the Lord Buddha at Kaew Sarapadnuk Room
9:30 a.m.    The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni, the Monastic President
-    leads the congregations to meditate
-    leads the congregations to perform the Ceremony of Offering Alms to the Lord Buddha
11:00 a.m.    The Ceremony of Offering Fund to Strengthen Roof of the International Dhammakaya Meditation Hall
        The Ceremony of Offering Meal to the Monks as Sangha Dana
11:15 a.m.    End

The Afternoon Ceremonies    The Ceremony of Worshipping Ashes of the Master Nun Chand  Khonnokyoong
1:30 p.m.    The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni, the Monastic President
-    leads the congregations to meditate
The Ceremony of Worshipping Ashes of the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong
The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni
-    leads the congregations to make a wish
-    places the jasmine garland to worship ashes of the Master Nun Chand  Khonnokyoong
Hosts place the garlands to worship ashes of the Master Nun
2:30 p.m.    The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni receives the donations
2:45 p.m.    End

The Ordination Ceremony at the Main Buddhist Chapel
2:30 p.m.    The Most Ven. Phradhamkittivong, the Preceptor
-    performs the Ordination Ceremony
3:30 p.m.    End



The Evening Ceremony    The Ceremonies of Inviting and Establishing Ashes of the Master Nun Chand  Khonnokyoong
3:45 p.m.    The participants line up to invite ashes of the Master Nun Chand  Khonnokyoong
4:15 p.m.    The procession starts to invite ashes of the Master Nun from the International Dhammakaya Meditation Hall to the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong Maha Vihara
5:30 p.m.    The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni, the Monastic President
-    leads the congregations to meditate
-    pushes the button to establish ashes of the Master Nun Chand  Khonnokyoong
-    leads the congregations to make a wish, spread loving-kindness, and worship the Triple Gems
6:30 p.m.    End
