The Dhammachai Dhutanga
Six provinces – 365 km long – to welcome the New Year 2012
To eliminate all dangers

Phra Sanitwong Wutthiwangso, Head of Public Relation Division, Dhammakaya Temple, unveiled that Dhammakaya Temple and Foundation initiated by the Most Ven. Phrathepyanmuni (Dhammjayo Bhikkhu), the abbot of Dhammakaya Temple and the president of Dhammakaya Foundation, cooperated with 25 associate organizations to arrange the “Dhammachai Dhutanga” Project. This project is to relieve Thai flood victims’ minds, eliminate all dangers and make the big merit for the country.  This project is during January 2nd – 25th, 2012.  Over 1,127 monks perform the dhutanga, chant, meditate and spread loving-kindness in the flooded area, six provinces which were Pathum Thani, Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi and Bangkok.  The total distance is 365 km.

Phra Sanitwong added that in the Buddha Time, when there were big disasters in Phisali city.  People troubled very much so they invited the Lord Buddha as well as over 500 monks to help them.  The residents cleaned the ways and decorated them with flowers.  By the Lord Buddha’s Power, all disasters ended.  The sick became better and the ghosts went away.  King Indra and all big celestial beings went to pay homage to the Lord Buddha.  Blessings emerged and belonged to all residents.

The big flood disaster in 2011 damaged and made Thai people troubles.  To remove all of disasters, troubles, sadness, diseases and dangers, the monks who perform this dhutanga are the real monks and practitioners, they have strong intention to perform the Dhammachai Dhutanga like the Lord Buddha’s way to relieve the victims’ mind and create the blessings to Thailand.

The wish for paving rose petals to welcome the monks

Because of the merit of welcoming the monks and bringing rose petals to pave with faithful mind in the Triple Gems and supporting the Buddhist works to be better, progressive and the light for the world,

May I make a wish that I want to be bright, wise, good and good at all kinds of sciences. I want to be the white leader, the leader who restores the world morality.

I want to be healthy, long live, good-looking, rich, and smart and own the human, celestial, and Nirvana properties. I want to be lucky, have high rank, and be praised and happy.

I want to have strong will power to do good deed endlessly. I want my life to be smooth like walking on the rose way.  Wherever I go, I will be welcome there. Human and celestial beings love me.

I want to be happy, successful, prosperous, and better.  I want to attain Dhamma, access the Inner Dhammakaya easily, all lifetimes until Nirvana.

Nibbāna Paccayo Hotu
