คนไทยเชื่อว่าบวชพระลูกชาย เป็นการทดแทนบุญคุณพ่อแม่ แต่จะทดแทนบุญคุณพ่อแม่ได้อย่างไร ในเมื่อก็รู้ๆ อยู่ว่าบวชแล้ว ก็ไปบิณฑบาต ไปทำความดีตามลำพัง ทิ้งพ่อทิ้งแม่ทิ้งครอบครัว
ความประทับใจแรกที่นำมาฝากกันคือ การได้เห็นแรงศรัทธาของพี่น้องชาวเขา จากจังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน จำนวน 120 คน เดินทางผ่านโค้งมา-กว่า 1,200 โค้ง ซึ่งใช้เวลาเดินทางกว่า 15 ชั่วโมง เพื่อมาเอาบุญใหญ่ร่วมโปรยกลีบกุหลาบต้อนรับพระธุดงค์ในวันนี้
