If we are to promote anyone to a supervisory level, what are the required qualities?
ทำดีได้ดี ทำชั่วได้ชั่ว ใครทำกรรมใดไว้ ดีหรือชั่วก็ตาม ตนจักต้องเป็นผู้รับผลของกรรมนั้น...บางคนเกิดมาแล้วก็ไม่ได้อยู่กับพ่อแม่...บางคนป่วยเป็นโรคร้ายจนต้องตัดขา แล้วยังมาฆ่าตัวตายด้วยการเผาตัวเองเพื่อประท้วง...บางคนแข็งแรงอยู่ดีๆ แต่ตอนเช้ากลับไม่ตื่น ต้องส่งโรงพยาบาล และเสียชีวิต...ทุกเรื่องล้วนมีเหตุ เหตุ คือ อะไร...กรรมดีที่ทำไว้ ช่วยเราได้หรือไม่อย่างไร เมื่อเราตายแล้ว...ที่นี่...มีทุกคำตอบ
I was assigned by the Civil Court Chief Official to teach Dhamma to judges and civil workers once a month starting in January. 2005 (B.E. 2548), and that troubled me because judges usually live in their own world. Everyone would like to dig deep into their thoughts and psyche. I would like to ask for Luang Phaw for suggestions how to teach Dhamma to this group of people.
In the case where the judge sentences the murderer to death, but does not execute the culprit him/herself, is s/he regarded as violating the first precept him/herself?
