Phra Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, Head of Public Relation Division, Dhammakaya Temple, unveiled that Dhammakaya Temple sent 300 monks and novices as well as 6,000 sandbags to support the dyke at Pak Nam Bhasi Charoen Temple.

At about 8:30 pm of Sunday November 6th, 2011, after the Kathina Khandhaka by the Monastic Community in the Main Buddhist Chapel of Dhammakaya Temple, the temple had called about 300 monks and novices to carry 6,000 sandbags and put them on the trucks, and then, went to Pak Nam Bhasi Charoen Temple to support the dyke for protecting the flood.

The Most Ven. Phrabhavanaviriyakhun (Luang Phaw Dattajivo), the vice abbot of Dhammakaya Temple, as well as his monks and novices left Dhammakaya temple at about 11:00 pm and arrived Pak Nam Bhasi Charoen Temple at about 1:30 am.  The routes to Pak Nam Bhasi Charoen Temple, both inbound and outbound, were flooded, but the entrance of the temple and the inner areas were dry.

When we arrived, we and the monks from Pak Nam Bhasi Charoen Temple as well as over 30 locals helped one another to carry sandbags to support the dyke of Pak Nam Bhasi Charoen Temple to be stronger.  We finished this special duty at about 1:40 am.

On Monday November 7th, 2011, the monks from Dhammakaya Temple will bring about 5,000 sandbags to support the dyke in order to increase its strength.  We will leave Dhammakaya Temple at about 5:00 pm and expect to complete it on that day.
