The Morning Alms Round at Jatujak
The Morning Alms Offering Ceremony to 15,000 Monks
To worship the Lord Buddha, to keep the Buddhist Customs and to help the monks in 286 temples in the Four Unrest Southern provinces in Thailand
On Sunday June 12th, 2011
At 6:00 – 8:30 a.m.
At Tedsaban Songkhrao Rd., (Prachaniwet 1 Rd., near Samiennaree Temple),
Jatujak district, Bangkok
You can watch live program via www.dmc.tv during 6:00 – 8:30 a.m.
 

The Fruits of offering the Morning Alms Round to the monks
1.    You will reborn in the Buddhist country every lifetime
2.    You will be rich and wealthy
3.    Your properties will not be damaged because of any danger

4:30 a.m.    15,000 monks reach the ceremonial area
5:30 a.m.    The monks have the breakfast in the ceremonial area
6:00 a.m.    The open ceremony
                       •    MC leads the participants to bow the monastic president and the monks
                       •    The laypeople president lights the candles and joss sticks to worship the Triple Gems and offers the pack of candles and joss sticks to the monastic president
                       •    Everybody chants to worship the Triple Gems
                       •    Dr. Supachai  Srisupa-aksorn leads to vow as the Buddhists
                       •    MC leads everyone to request the five precepts
                       •    The president of the organizer team gives the report
                       •    The ceremonial president gives the speech to open the ceremony
                       •    The Ceremony of giving the Shield Awards to the supporters of this project
6:50 a.m.    The Morning Alms Round Ceremony
                       •    The donators say the speech of offering the indefinite alms together
                       •    The donators says the speech of offering money and alms to help the monks in the South together
                       •    The donators make a wish together
                       •    Fifty representatives of the donators offer the money and alms
                       •    The monastic president gives the compliment
                       •    The monastic president and the monks give the blessings

7:20 a.m.    The monks and novices deploy for the morning alms round
                       •    The donators make a wish
                       •    The monks and the novices receive the alms / the congregations offer the alms

8:00 a.m.    End of the ceremony, pay respect and wait for the monks and the novices to go
