The Most Ven. Somdej Phramaharajmangalajarn (Acting Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, Member of Sangha Supreme Council, the abbot of Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen) was the President of the ceremony of chanting the Lord Buddha’s Mantra to bless and glorify H.M. King Bhumibol’s and H.M. Queen Sirikit’s Honor at the Main Buddhist Chapel in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace.  All levels of the governing monks in Bangkok and a lot of Buddhists came to join in this event.

Sangha Supreme Council assigned all Buddhist temples in Thailand and oversea worldwide to arrange the ceremony of chanting and meditating to bless and dedicate merit to the King and the Queen as well as assigned the provincial meditation centers to arrange the meditation retreat after the evening chanting during that period, depending to the appropriateness of each temple, to bless and dedicate merit to the King and the Queen.
